The latest UFO news circulating the internet concerns a supposed alien carving discovered in China. The ancient UFO news story was reported by Michael Cohen of allnewsweb.com. Apparently a few days ago Chinese scientists announced the discovery of what they are calling a carving of an ancient alien astronaut and UFO found in an archaeological site in the Guanxi and Guangdong region.
Scientists estimate the carving at 3,000 years old and describe it as an alien being dressed in a spacesuit. After examining the carving, the reporter states he believes the carving fits a description of a UFO sighting by the biblical prophet Ezekiel.
After examining the only picture made available to the public (shown below), it is understandable how the reporter and scientists might call this an alien. However, when I saw the ancient carving, my first impression was that it much more resembled a cricket than an alien, and my second was that it was also very similar to the Nazca lines found in Peru.
Could the carving be an Ancient Chinese Cricket?
The Chinese have revered the singing and fighting cricket and cicadas for over 2,000 years from times prior to the Tang Dynasty of 500 B.C. In ancient Chinese agriculture, these insects were crucial in helping farmers to divide the seasons and detect climate changes. For example at the time of “Jing-Zhe” or the waking of the insects, farmers knew it was time to start the plowing of fields in the spring. As their appreciation for this insect evolved, the cricket and cicada became synonymous with success in life and prosperity.
Pictured at right are glyphs that were found on bones and tortoise shells that depict these crickets in Chinese history. Found in the book “Er-Ya,” these glyphs also show a pair of crickets. More on the history of crickets in Chinese culture can be found at www.insects.org/ced3/chinese_crcul.html.
Given that this carving was found in China, it is very possible that a farmer might have drawn a cricket on the rock in honor of this famed insect to bring in a successful and prosperous harvest.
This Carving Also Resembles the Nazca Lines in Peru.
The latest UFO news on an ancient Chinese carving not only reminded me of a cricket. It also has the appearance of the Nazca lines found in the deserts of southern Peru. Thought to have been created by the Nazca culture between 400 and 650 AD, there are hundreds of line drawings in the sand which resemble animals of all sorts including hummingbirds, fish, spiders, monkeys and even a spaceman. Some scientists believe they were created by the ancient Nazca as messages to the sky gods.
Today, many UFO enthusiasts believe that these lines were drawn as a sort of ancient airfield to enable extraterrestrial ufo landings and flights.
Although this recently discovered Chinese drawing is carved in small scale on a rock, it does bear some attributes of the line drawings in Nazca.
The Prophet Ezekiel’s UFO sighting
Regarding Michael Cohen’s report that this ancient UFO carving resembles that spoken of by the Prophet Ezekiel, I disagree completely. Here’s the text of Ezekiel’s vision:
4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north—an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, 5and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human, 6 but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four of them had faces and wings, 9 and the wings of one touched the wings of another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.
15 As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. 16 This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. 17 As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went. 18 Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
19 When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. 20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. 21 When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome. 23 Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.
Clearly this Chinese carving does not resemble anything found concerning what many believe to be descriptions of UFOs and aliens visiting Earth in the biblical book of Ezekiel.
Understandably the Chinese have experienced many UFO sightings in recent months so that it is easy to interpret every carving or finding as being alien or UFO related. However after reviewing this latest UFO news, there could certainly be a few different interpretations of what this carving is actually depicting rather than an alien astronaut. I’ve offered suggestions that this carving might be a cricket, cicada or even a similar drawing to the Peruvian Nazca lines. Please comment below about what you think about this mystery rock drawing.
